PRODUCT DEFINITION

BLOCKFIX is a high-quality Adhesive for jointing and bonding different types of substrate during masonry construction.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

BLOCKFIX is suitable for fixing different types of Light Weight Block, AAC blocks, aerated concrete blocks, red block (Ponza), fly ash bricks. The product is specially designed to provide higher bonding as a result of higher tensile adhesion strength.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

The surface must be clean, free of dust, grease, paint, loose material, etc. The base surface should also be properly cured.

Surface defects such as cracks, holes or voids should be repaired prior to application.

BLOCKFIX is gradually added into water under continuous stirring for 3-5 min until a uniform paste is formed (Creamy thixotropic mortar). A low speed mixer is recommended for mixing. The mixture should be left at least for about 5 minutes to settle and slightly stirred again for 1 min, the paste is ready for application.

Application to obtain a good adhesion spread the mortar onto the block with a notched trowel, vertical and horizontal joints must be fill them completely with adhesive.

Fix the blocks with a firm pressure. Open time is 10-12 minutes, climatic conditions can reduce or extend this time. Applied mixture must be covered with block within 30 minutes in order to avoid "skin" formation.
